Private Dockage
Captain's Quarters offers your vessels the same considerations and conveniences it offers you, a comfortable and secure berth. The million-dollar ireplaceable boat basin is your private marina during your stay. It's clever design eliminates draft while preserving unobstructed access to the open ocean, and its capacity is almost unparalleled. Dock your 30-foot boat and up to 2 others like it in these 12-ft deep waters with ease. One of the docking stations is specifically engineered to handle smaller vessels such as waverunners. With conrete-bolted steel cleats and new PVC boat bumpers, the only thing missing is your boat(s).
In the arial picture above and to the right, note how the the two boats (roughly 15 ft. each), docked at two of the docking stations, are dwarfed by the gargantuan-sized boat basin. The third docking station (at the top of the picture), is empty. Note also the ample room that remains for maneuvering the vessels within this protected deep dockage area.

| Three Docking Stations
As you pull into the private boat basin, you and your guests have several choices of where to moor your vessels. With deep water and practically zero draft, everyone gets an equally great parking spot. Each docking station is equipped with steel cleats at either end for securely mooring the vessel, and with PVC boat bumbers inbetween to protect the vessel from bumping against the concrete. The bumpers go well below the water line to keep your vessel from getting caught during low tide.
The two docking stations shown in the first two pictures to the left are the first ones you encounter as you come into the boat basin. There is a fresh water supply outlet at each of these docking stations so you can hose down your vessel at the end of the day. Even if the waters get choppy offshore, your ship in the boat basin will remain as calm as a baby in her mother's womb.
The third docking station, shown in the last picture to the left, has smaller boat bumpers and works best for smaller vessels and personal water crafts such as waverunners. Like the other two, it is equipped with steel cleets bolted securely to the concrete wall. Located just a few yards from, and in direct view of, the house, dockage for your boat or PWC couldn't be safer or more convenient during your Keys vacation.

Ocean & Bay Access
Whether you want to head out to the open sea for a day of deep sea fishing or diving, or venture into the back country in the bay, access couldn't be easier than from the private oceanfront boat basin. Climb aboard, round the jetty and you're in the Atlantic Ocean. Head north along the coast for about 1/2 mile, turn left through the Whale Harbor Channel and you're in the bay. It's that simple
It's a good idea to navigate unfamiliar coastal waters in the daytime for the first time. Because the beach is very shallow, you'll want to follow the markers to guide your vessel through the deep water channels as you approach (and depart) the shore each time. Experienced sailors will also know to be aware of the tides.
